Light into the Night
WoodRoot and plexiglass, 2016
Written by Antonella Gerbi
The form, which recalls an architecture is inhabited and is the place of our energy. The place from where our energy is born, springs and is perceived outside. Inside our energy, our light, trembles to get out. It is what we sometimes allow others to glimpse, the intimate part of us.
What you see, the shape that comes out of the plexiglass is made of air, we are made of nothing.
My desire is to represent, digging the matter of the plexiglass, the void in which matter is inlaid... impervious air that acquires a formal and conceptual weight that manifests itself in the expressive force of the form.
